The Daughters of Lear
The Daughters of Lear
On the balcony off the throne room, three princesses, Goneril, Regan, and Cordelia, meet. They have learned that their father is to divide the kingdom and make them queens.
Is this madness, generosity, or a deadly trap? They must make a plan before the bell rings to call them inside. But their experiences of their father have not been the same, and so a united front seems impossible, and each must decide whether to save themselves or risk everything to save each other.
The Daughters of Lear runs parallel to the events of Shakespeare's King Lear and is the final play of KSK's "Patriarch Trilogy".
It's a gripping, new play in English about family, conditional love, and the cost of survival.
